Help for Authors: Critiquing

Ray and Anna will critique your manuscript. We don't provide full editing; but if you have a manuscript, fiction or non-fiction, and can't decide what to do with it, we can help you. We will read and evaluate it, and try to answer your questions; even questions you might not think to ask. We accept most genres and, when necessary, call upon other team members.

A sample of manuscripts we have critiqued

Seven Angels for Seven Days: A Widow's Journey by Angelina Fast-Vlaar, which won the First-Time Canadian Christian Author Award in June 2004. We critiqued the first chapter at the God Uses Ink conference in 2003 and encouraged her to continue.

WinterGrief by Donna J. Mann, which was short listed in The Word Guild Awards for 2004. We have also critiqued other book and column manuscripts by this author.

Not Easily Broken by Ruth Nighswander Smith, who said: "I could barely wait to get home and work on my manuscript. Your help and suggestions have been invaluable. I get so excited as I work through it. Your critiquing has been a teaching tool to make me a better writer."
